LEARNING TO LIVE

Regrets?...as I stayed in my room...listening to nice music...I was able to re-visit my memories for it allowed me to travel back to where I was before...my childhood days...struggling to survive because of temporal incapacities and a lot more...but it made me smile relating it to me now... of course I am not that materially blessed but a lot better and comfortable as before. I then asked myself...any regrets in life? Well...I’m very happy of what had been my past...though during those trying times I was so much afraid...as if I’m travelling in a dark tunnel not sure of anything.

There are times that me and my family will be contented to have just rice and a bowl of shared soup...for that is what my finances can afford not knowing what tomorrow will bring.

I did tried everything I can think of (during that times my children are still small...no serious obligation yet)...but this is my only light in myself to keep me up...I never forget my "Ave Maria" at night. As days passed...things unveil...(it’s good to visit my early post...Journey...scroll down)...and things radically changed.

Those hard and dark days I have is now part of my precious memory ...I am now learning to live just the present moment...for I know I am not in control of my tomorrow...do you have control of your tomorrow? But my past is my foundation to fully hold on to HIM who holds me tightly in His hand...I can feel His abiding presence in my life....for I subjectively know that someone loves me and is so much interested in my life...He holds me and that in whatever crisis situation I may find myself in my life...I know that with Him I will survive.

Well...perhaps it’s hard to be convinced of what I have been saying...but it happened to me...Try to revisit your life...did you find meaning in it? Have you experienced someone loving you "unconditionally"?....well...I know it might be quite hard...but give a try....just open your heart and desire...that you too would like to experience the encounter of others...the encounter of JESUS.

FORGIVENESS? Definitely I can't forgive...how can I? He is the reason why my life is a mess...He made my life terrible.

Perhaps you experienced betrayal...emotional catastrophe due to relational break-up especially from your special someone which you trusted so much...infidelities...stolen inheritance due to fraud by mis-representation...etc.

It's hard to forgive...we are but human beings...hearing his name makes my blood boil...I don't want my way to cross with his...in short...I don't want a shadow of him...thus...uncontrolled stress.

But you must understand that forgiveness is not a matter of feeling but rather an act of the "will"...your personal conviction that you need to forgive so that you too...be released from the internal conflict that ultimately will affect the external of you...your physical body.

Cancer...arthritis...migrane...hypertension...nervousness...other chronic and recurring sicknesses...etc? If you are in medication...CONTINUE your medication...and add this simple exercise...

I want to give you a tip...and I am making my language simple and reachable to the most ordinary viewer.

First...if you are in a conflict situation ...be aware that you are in a conflict situation...accept it...If you now know that unforgiveness can cause discomfort, you must accept that you have to forgive...you must take a step to forgive...you must be firm in your decision to forgive...(if you agree with it...then...you are ready to proceed)...look for a place and position yourself comfortably.

Second...try to visualize this person...and try to look at him/her in your imagination for a second...(if you can't take it ...withdraw from the exercise ...and to try next time...and say to yourself...I can't do it...perhaps...some other time...accept it.)

Do it again in some other days since you are in a decision to release yourself from this stressful situation...imagine him again...now if you can stomach looking at him...DO IT...as long and as far as you can stand...then in your mind try to revisit that event that hurt you.(betrayal...infidelity...emotional pain...broken relationships...etc... (then say...I FORGIVE YOU AND I HAVE TO DO IT FOR JESUS HIMSELF FORGAVE ME AND I HAVE TO FORGIVE...)

At first...you won't feel good at all...but as you go on doing it...a time will come that you will feel alright...but since this is a process...I can't say how long that would be...Pray often that the LORD will supply you with the needed support that you really can forgive and be released from your past hurtful memories. Perhaps,you look at the cross...that is how God offers His forgiveness....

If there are many persons that needs your forgiveness...do the exercise...applying it one by one on them...following the simple steps...advance...withdraw...advance...advance...

In the prayer the Lord taught us...the "Our Father" (Matthew 6:9-13)...the Lord inserted two last verses...(verse 14& 15)..."if you forgive others the wrong they have done to you...your Father in heaven will also forgive you... but if you do not forgive others...then your Father will not forgive the wrongs you have done"...

Aside from experiencing inner peace...you too will be embraced by the LORD since you are struggling to follow His "will"...and for sure the LORD will embrace you...if He does embrace you ...then whisper into His ears that you too...needs to be healed.

Do you struggle to forgive no matter what? ...you miss the fullness of life if you won't....TRY IT...
