JULY 03 | FEAST DAY OF SAIMT THOMAS,
APOSTLE AND MARTYR

This feast honors St. Thomas, often remembered as “Doubting Thomas” because he initially refused to believe in the Resurrection without seeing the Risen Christ. But when Jesus appeared to him, Thomas made a profound profession of faith: “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28)

His journey from doubt to faith encourages us to seek the truth and to trust in Christ, even when we cannot see. According to tradition, St. Thomas preached the Gospel as far as India, where he was eventually martyred.

Let us pray:
Almighty and ever-living God, who strengthened the faith of Saint Thomas the Apostle with sure and certain belief in Your Son’s Resurrection, grant us, we pray, so to believe and proclaim our faith, that we may always confess Jesus as our Lord and our God. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer. We trust to your gentle care and intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting. Help all of us, Holy Mother, to bear our burdens in this life until we may share eternal life and peace with God forever.
