As the keynote speaker of the SDO Imus City Leadership Convention, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐍. 𝐍𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚, Assistant Regional Director of DepEd CALABARZON, delivered a powerful synthesis of the convergence’s central themes. She reminded educational leaders that “𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒂 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓, 𝒊𝒕 𝒔𝒆𝒕𝒔 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒂 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆.”

Her reflections highlighted the collective insights from the sessions, the call to integrity and stewardship in public service, the importance of creating optimal learning conditions, and the need to champion lifelong learning as a transformative force in communities.

Addressing school heads and administrators, Dr. Nidea emphasized that leadership is never about the role, it is always about the goal of shaping resilient institutions and nurturing learners prepared for the challenges of the 21st century.

During the ALAPAN 2026 SDO Imus City Leadership Convention, guest speaker 𝐁𝐆𝐞𝐧. 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 (Ret.), AFP, emphasized the enduring principle that public service must always be anchored on trust, integrity, and accountability.

“𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒐𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒈𝒆𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒚, 𝒑𝒐𝒑𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒔. 𝑰𝒕 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆. 𝑰𝒕 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒔 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒏𝒔. 𝑰𝒕 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒆𝒅 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔.”

His discourse on public service as a public trust reminded school leaders that education is not only a means of knowledge transfer but also a moral responsibility to shape ethical citizens and principled leaders for the nation.

𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐥, Assistant Secretary for Governance and Operations of DepEd, underscored the vital role of evidence-based decision-making in school leadership during his talk as guest speaker at the 𝐒𝐃𝐎 𝐈𝐦𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐍 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 with the theme “𝑫𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒏, 𝑩𝒂𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑯𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒏”, held at Tanza Oasis Hotel and Resort, Tanza, Cavite.

“As a leader, you have to foster a culture of evidence. Data-driven talaga dapat ang pagiging leader. Effective school leaders use data to improve teaching, learning, and school management, not just to prepare reports.”

His message highlighted how data-driven leadership empowers school heads to translate information into actionable strategies, ensuring measurable impact in classrooms and sustainable improvement in management practices.
