Upgraded greenhouse

Bulala (in Ilocano) or Bur Tree (Scientific Name: Nauclea orientalis) is a Philippine native tree. We also call it Covid 19 because the fruits resemble the virus. The wood is used to make boats (and other furniture). The blooms are fragrant (some don’t like it but it smells mildly sweet and not overpowering). When the tree blooms, it is believed to signal that the rainy season has arrived.

Merry Christmas!! It’s been awhile. Buhay pa naman kami kaso tinatamad mag garden kaya walang post. 😅
Nakapasyal ako sa pinsan kong madaming halaman kami may maishare ako ngayon.

Went to Pita & Babuyan today and saw some plants that I’m not familiar with, of which I took home cuttings and seeds to propagate.

1. Carissa Caranda- the fruit has a lot of health benefits. It’s said to be beneficial for rheumatoid arthritis, anorexia, indigestion, colic, hepatomegaly, splenomegaly, piles, cardiac diseases, edema, amenorrhea, fever and Nervine disorders (according to Google)

2. Thunbergia erecta or Bush clockvine

3. Myrtus communis (Common Myrtle)
