A fortress built in the 18th century and some portions dates back to 10th Century, is worth admiring for the interiors intricately carved with 3D details and the pillars and ceilings depicting scenes from the Hindu mythology ie Mahabharata, Ramayana and Vishnu Puran.
The entrance is guarded by an enormous lion and lioness, the fort also has a temple that once served as a divine place to worship Lord Shiva.

Guardian of the holy city of Amritsar, built by Gujar Singh and completed by Maharaja Ranjit Singh. The 258 year fort was opened for public in 2017 after being a stronghold to Indian Army.
One must visit live shows such as the 7-D sher-e-punjab (Lion-of-Punjab) show on Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Kanda Boldiyan Ne (Light and Sound show), and the Spirit Of Punjab live show. Cost for one person including 7D show INR 199/- pricing changes with change in inclusions. (DSLR or Camera equipment not allowed inside but mobile is 😂)
