The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) has rendered a testimonial parade and review in honor of Rear Admiral Teotimo R Borja Jr PCG, Commander, Coast Guard Civil Relations Service, in Baguio City on 30 May 2026.

Rear Admiral Borja Jr PCG is a proud member of the β€œTanglaw-diwa" Class of 1992 where he embarked on a lifelong commitment to service and excellence.

Hailing from the historic land of Tanauan, Leyte, he was shaped by the enduring values of discipline, honor, and service.

A scholar and a leader, he graduated 20th in his class at the premier military institution before being commissioned into the naval service.

His extensive career began onboard Coast Guard vessels from 1993 to 1997, where he served with dedication and professionalism.

As a distinguished officer of the PCG, he built a remarkable career across the archipelago, commanding key stations and intelligence offices in Palawan, Davao, Zamboanga, Ozamis, and Tacloban.

His commitment to professional development led him to Sweden, where he successfully earned his Master’s Degree, further enhancing his expertise in maritime safety and strategic planning.

His international footprint expanded further when he served as the Philippine representative to the Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combating Piracy and Armed Robbery against Ships in Asia (ReCAAP) in Singapore.

Back home, his strategic leadership was instrumental in the Project Management Office, where he oversaw the acquisition of the modern vessels that now form the backbone of the PCG fleet.

Through his visionary stewardship of the PCG’s civil-maritime operations and community relations, he has successfully bridged the gap between the uniform and the maritime public.

A highly decorated officer, Rear Admiral Borja Jr PCG has been honored with numerous awards, including the Taiwan Medal of Honor, the Coast Guard Distinguished Service Medal, Outstanding Achievement Medal, and the Bronze Cross Medal.

Beyond his professional achievements, he finds strength and fulfillment in his family as a devoted husband to Jasmin Udtuhan, and a proud father to Loi Janelle and Lieutenant Junior Grade Timothy Laurence, who now carries forward the proud tradition of service in the PCG.

As he stood before the Cadet Corps on the hallowed grounds of Fort Del Pilar, the ceremony recognized his 37 years of active public service, integrity, and lasting contributions to a modern Philippine Coast Guard.
