In line with the Nationwide Observance of Brigada Eskwela 2026, the personnel of Makilas Fire Substation spearheaded by SFO2 Dimpo C Baga, Acting Substation commander of Makilas Fire Substation, under the leadership of 𝙁𝙎𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝘼𝙏𝙏𝙔. 𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙈𝘼𝙉 𝙄 𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂, 𝘾𝙀, 𝙈𝙋𝘼, Ipil Municipal Fire Marshal actively participated in the clean-up and preparation activities

This year’s inspiring theme, “𝘉𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯; 𝘕𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘒𝘢𝘢𝘺𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘵 Makilas National High School.𝘒𝘢𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯,” the activity emphasized the Filipino spirit of unity, volunteerism, and shared responsibility in creating a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for learners as they prepare for the opening of classes.

BFP personnel rendered their time and effort through various school maintenance activities such as cleaning classrooms, clearing school surroundings, and assisting in ensuring that the school facilities are ready for the incoming students. The initiative also serves as a reminder that education is a shared mission that requires the cooperation of government agencies, stakeholders, parents, and the community.

Buluan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Upon arrival at the scene, the team immediately assessed the patient and noted complained of dizziness and pain in the right lower extremity. Assessment also revealed a wound on the right foot. First aid was provided. The wound on the right foot was cleansed and dressed with a sterile dressing to help prevent infection. The patient was positioned appropriately to alleviate pain in the right lower extremity and enhance comfort during transport. Continuous monitoring was maintained throughout patient care. Upon assessment, the EMS personnel of the station noted a laceration and a suspected fracture of the nasal bridge. First aid was administered by cleaning the wound and applying appropriate dressing to prevent infection. The EMS personnel recommended that the patient be brought to the hospital for further evaluation and proper management of the suspected nasal bridge fracture.

Upon arrival at the scene, the team immediately assessed the patient and noted complaints of abdominal pain associated with active labor. First aid was administered by positioning the patient in a comfortable supine position inside the ambulance. The responding team provided coaching on proper breathing techniques to help manage labor pain and maintain patient comfort during transport.
