iLLegaLity of K + 12 curriculum

Peace.

In spite of the repeated admissions and
announcements of the Government and the
Department of Education (DepED) that the proposed
Law for the adoption and implementation of the
supposed K + 12 curriculum is stiLL pending in.. Congress (House of the Representatives) many are
saying if not already terrorizing the people that
the K + 12 is already on, has started, and will
be starting this upcoming new school year
2012-2013, election year 2013.

It must be remembered that what could be
wrong with the present system and present curriculum
is the making of our Government, DepEd Officials, and
Leaders including CHEd (Commission on Higher Education
and Senator Angara, etc.) in the immediate closures and
abolition our curricula for trades schools, vocational,
agricultural, fishery, sports, arts, etc., even without
the clear approval of and by the people (through
realistic consultations and referrenda).

It is acknowledged that among the problems with
the present system and curricula are the following:
(a) too many subjects already and within classroom
activities only; (b) over-crowded classrooms that each
is good only for 30 to 35 students but filled up with
60 to 100 students that anytime have about 30 to
50 students unaccounted for; (c) exodus of better
teachers to other fields of employments or other
places abroad; (d) lack of classroom teachers;
(e) lack of classrooms; (d) absence of school buildings
in many communities; (f) no audit and no reporting
on the fair distribution of government textbooks to
each and every student including those in the
authorized high school students of State Colleges and
Universities (SCUs);

What is even worse today is the keeping of
blind eyes by almost everyone especially those in the
Government and the DepEd on our racist systems of
"homogeneous" grouping and sectioning of students in
the guise of "specialized" or "science" curricula" for
the first or two sections; and so "instructions", and
"Laziness" and "unreasonability" of everyone; so-called
"entrance" or "admission" exams to some schools which
only appear to be some "quota" (if not "kotong") system
just to keep away many children from the public schools
and drive them to be among our ten or twenty millions of
street children nationwide; etc.

The unnecessary hypes by the Government and
the DepEd on the yet unapproved and on the yet unlawful,
illegal, and immoral K + 12 curriculum would only
indicate that there too many bullies, terrorists, and
blind followers in our society in the guise or mis-using
of in being in authority and in power.

Meantime, the Government and DepEd could be
the ones breeding too many corrupt people including
publishers, etc. to take advantage on the
confusions in the productions and selling on the many
unncessary schools supplies, equipment, textbooks, etc.

We as the Government (of the people) could be
obtaining our directed or personal gains, however,
illegal or immoral our means (as in "tapos na po
ang bayad").

To add one more concern that has not really
addressed to and that do not need a "trojan horse" in the
K + 12; in the concern of so-called national language
based in "Tagalog", "Pilipino" and now "Filipino"; now
being taught from kinder to college side-by-side with
the dominant foreign language.

There was a time about 15 or 20 years ago that
in a poster, the National Language Commission rightly
and correctly stated that there can never be an honest
to goodness national language without developing the
regional languages and local dialects. Those limited
edition of posters must have not been repeated if not,
pulled out too soon.

In Germany, it is said there is "high" German
and German Language. These could be referring to the
language taught in the classroom as differentiated from
the language in the street.

It could now be seen through the various
written communications including celfons, emails,
facebook, etc., that the people must be making a lot
of barriers, in their spelling and constructions, as
indeed we have not addressed our own languages unlike
the too much care we have given to the dominant
foreign language to continue the making of our
generations and the all generations to come be the
modern slaves of the world selling ourselves without
now the traders.
