Tan-awan NHS Holds PEACE Rally, Promotes Unity Through Small Acts

TAN-AWAN, Kabankalan City β€” Students, teachers, and staff of Tan-awan National High School gathered during the Monday flag ceremony on July 13, 2027, for the school's weekly PEACE Rally carrying the theme, "Small Acts, Big Impact."

The activity highlighted the importance of empathy, kindness, and respect in fostering a peaceful and inclusive school community. Through an inspirational message, the reading of selected Forest of Kindness peace leaves, the Bully-Free School 4 STAR Steps, and the Bully-Free Pledge, learners were reminded that meaningful change begins with simple acts of compassion and everyday choices that promote harmony.

The activity was spearheaded by Ex Isturis, SSLG Adviser, in collaboration with the school administration, faculty members, SSLG officers, and student leaders as part of the school's continuing implementation of the PEACE Campaign.

As the program concluded, the Tan-awan NHS community reaffirmed its commitment to creating a safe, respectful, caring, and bully-free learning environment where every learner can thrive.

Tan-awan NHS Cultivates a "Forest of Kindness" Through PEACE Campaign

**June 29, 2026 | Tan-awan National High School**

In support of the Department of Education's **P.E.A.C.E. Campaign**, learners from **all grade levels** of Tan-awan National High School came together in a meaningful activity that transformed simple messages into a powerful symbol of unity and compassion.

During their free time, recess, and before the start of the first class period, students were invited to write messages of **hope, acceptance, encouragement, and kindness** on leaf-shaped notes. Each message was carefully placed on their respective **Tree of Kindness**, representing every grade level's collective commitment to building a more caring and inclusive school community.

As the activity concluded, the SSLG Officers gathered the six Trees of Kindness and assembled them on the school stage, forming one inspiring **Forest of Kindness**β€”a visual reminder that every encouraging word, every act of acceptance, and every message of hope contributes to a stronger, more peaceful Tan-awan NHS.

The activity highlighted that peace is not only celebrated during special occasions but is cultivated every day through empathy, respect, and genuine concern for one another.

Together, we continue to grow a school where kindness takes root and every learner belongs.
