The Philippine Statistics Authority(PSA) reported that ischemic heart disease was the top cause of death in 2025, with 40,532 cases (20%) nationwide.
The good news: most heart diseases are preventable through a healthy lifestyle. This Philippine Heart Month, rememberโit's never too late to start making choices for a healthier, stronger heart. โค๏ธ
To have a healthy heart, here are some tips guided by the World Health Organization (2020):
