The Provincial Health Office of Aklan, through its ICT Unit, successfully completed a five-day mentoring program on the Local Health Information Exchange (LHIE) from June 29 to July 3, 2026, at the Ati-Atihan Festival Hotel, Kalibo, Aklan.
The activity strengthened the teamโs capacity to build and manage a digital health system that enables health facilities to securely share information, laying the foundation for a sustainable, locally managed LHIE that will improve coordination, efficiency, and continuity of care for every Aklanon.
We sincerely thank the Asian Development Bank (ADB), especially Dr. Philip Zuniga and Ms. Aliyah Lou Evangelista, for their invaluable mentorship and guidance in helping Aklan move closer to a more connected and patient-centered healthcare system.
By strengthening our digital health systems today, we are building faster, better, and more accessible healthcare for every Aklanon tomorrow.
