𝗟𝗜𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐋𝐄 𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 || OSHC-REU XII visits Campus Learning Resource Center, donates books & posters for Safety and Health awareness

The Office of the Occupational Safety and Health Center - Regional Extension Unit XII, headed by their Program Manager, Ms. Mary Joy Amparan Pandac, along with other members of the Agency, came and visited the USM-KCC Learning Resource Center last November 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM.

OSHC, an attached Agency of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), was established as the nationally recognized authority on safety and health research, training, information and technical expertise. In partnership with the different public and private sectors, this Agency pursues the attainment of a healthy and safe working environment through responsive and sustainable OSH programs and policies that aim to increase productivity and foster linkages that will benefits workers in all industries.

As part of their initiative to promote awareness on safety and health in the library workspace, the Regional Extension Unit represented by Ms. Pandac generously donated eight ( 8 ) copies of books on the Occupational Safety and Health Standards published by DOLE, along with posters and/or banners for display, which showcase various tips, instructions and precautions concerning the work environment.

This activity has strengthened the establishment of strong linkages across other government sectors and displayed a valuable support for the vision and mission of the Campus Library in providing a safe, healthy, and comfortable space for Librarians and students alike.

The Librarians of the Learning Resource Center extend their gratitude towards the OSHC for their contribution to this cause.
