Our team had a fantastic visit to Kinokuniya Bookstore in Bangkok, Thailand! The store was massive and had an incredible selection of books, magazines, and stationery. We spent hours browsing through the shelves, discovering new titles and authors, and picking up some unique souvenirs.

The store's design and layout were also impressive, with comfortable reading nooks and a cozy cafe area. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day of exploring the city.

Today, we celebrate Araw ng Pagbasa, reflecting deeply on the impact of reading in raising informed, empathetic, and empowered Filipino learners. This morning’s Nationwide Synchronized Reading invited students across the country to pause, open a book, and read together.

For our part, we will continue to make reading an accessible, meaningful, and enjoyable part of every Filipino's life through our growing network of storytelling spaces, book fairs, and other programs.

This November, as we celebrate Filipino Values Month, we bring the message of values education directly to our youth through the ‘Balay Pinoy’ School Caravan.

Rooted in the Filipino spirit of balay—a home where learning, community, and compassion thrive—the caravan engages students through storytelling, cultural activities, and the well-loved Filipino Values animation series featuring Heneral Tuna.

By highlighting the 20 Core Filipino Values, from love of family and faith to integrity, resilience, and love of country, the program nurtures pride in our identity and inspires value-driven action among young Filipinos.

Join us on November 20 at Florentino Torres High School and on November 25 at Fernando Ma. Guerrero Elementary School, as we continue fostering a more united, respectful, and resilient Filipino community.
