Introducing 𝘾𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙮 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙙: 𝘽𝙞𝙘𝙤𝙡 𝙆𝙞𝙙𝙨 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙣—a regional outreach initiative by 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘇𝗽𝗶 that brings 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝘽𝘾 𝙢𝙞𝙘𝙧𝙤:𝙗𝙞𝙩 directly to schools and communities across the Bicol Region.
More than learning how to code, students will discover how Artificial Intelligence can become a powerful tool for wildlife conservation. Through hands-on activities, they'll train AI models using the BBC micro:bit and build creative prototypes that explore real-world solutions for protecting forests, monitoring wildlife, and caring for the natural treasures that make Bicol unique.
Because the future of Bicol isn't shaped only by those who admire its beauty—but by those who are empowered to protect it.

The 10𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙪𝙯𝙤𝙣 𝙄𝘾𝙏 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙭𝙝𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙩 (𝘾𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙠𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙀𝙭 2026) has officially wrapped up, and what an incredible, jam-packed 3 days it was! From June 19 to 21, the Summit Hotel in Naga City became the epicenter of technology, innovation, and civic collaboration under this year’s theme: "Connecting People, Empowering Communities: Co-Creating Smart, Inclusive, and Sustainable Cities by 2028."

The conference brought together a powerhouse lineup of national figures, local executives, and tech visionaries who led critical discussions on good governance, innovation, and digital civic engagement:

𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 & 𝐊𝐄𝐘 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 🌟

• Senator Francis 'Kiko' Pangilinan underscored the vital intersection of technology, good governance, and food security. He pushed for innovation-driven, climate-resilient "Smart Agriculture," explaining how digital tools like early warning systems, real-time weather updates, and mobile market data can significantly empower countryside farmers and fisherfolk.

• Senator Bam Aquino focused heavily on youth empowerment during the Leadership Dialogue on Good Governance for Smart Cities, highlighting that the youth are the ultimate drivers of digital civic engagement. He also toured the exhibition floor and warmly lauded the brilliance and tech innovation displayed by the younger generation.

• Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong joined the governance tracks to share trailblazing insights from Baguio City’s own smart-city data models. He illustrated how robust local government frameworks can harness data to institutionalize absolute transparency and eliminate systemic corruption.

• Former Vice President Leni Robredo actively participated in these critical discussions, championing the co-creation of smart, inclusive, and collaborative public service systems straight from the Center of Good Governance, Ciudad nin Naga.

Behind the scenes of these massive plenary sessions, our dedicated 10-pax volunteer deployment team from the Legazpi Chapter worked around the clock, distributed across different working committees to ensure the seamless ex*****on of the entire conference! From supporting essential operations to handling various event management tasks, their unwavering commitment and passion for service earned high praise throughout the three-day event.

Our active participation at CLICKCONEX 2026 highlights the growing and collaborative partnership between DEVCON Legazpi and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Naga. Together, we are bridging the tech community with local governance, combining efforts to advance regional digital innovation, empower grassroots communities, and foster a highly progressive, future-proofed technology ecosystem.

DEVCON Legazpi was incredibly proud to join 𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗧’𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 as an official exhibitor. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, share ideas, and engage with fellow innovators, developers, and tech enthusiasts from across the region.

The energy at our booth was kept high all day by our dedicated chapter officers who proudly represented the team: our President, JP Remar Serrano; VP for Partnerships, Adornado Cabalbag Jr.; VP for External Affairs, Carl Andre Bongalos; and VP for Creatives, Diego Maraya.
