On April 14, 2026, FABLAB Bicol convened with representatives from various Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) offices within Albay to discuss a strategic partnership. The meeting centered on a collaborative project specifically designed to address the socio-economic needs of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and their families.

The session was graced by key BJMP officials, including Acting Chief of the Regional Welfare and Development Division, JINSP Anita T. Andueza, and Jail Superintendent of Legazpi City Jail, JSUPT Tedler K. Samonte, both of whom provided valuable insights for the project’s development.

Director Alfonso M. Peñol Jr. represented FABLAB BicoL and active extension practioner from College of Industrial Technology Prof. Joseph Bustamante, presenting the project framework and technical components during the deliberation.

We anticipate a seamless partnership and remain steadfast in our commitment to the success of this meaningful initiative.

𝓐𝓰𝓷𝓮𝓼 𝓐𝓬𝓪𝓭𝓮𝓶𝔂 nailed their 𝟓-𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐎𝐧-𝐭𝐡𝐞-𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐎𝐉𝐓) from March 9 to 13, 2026! 🗓️ They explored 𝐅𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟑𝟔𝟎, 𝟑𝐃 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠, and 𝟑𝐃 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 with software like 𝚒𝚍𝚎𝚊𝙼𝚊𝚔𝚎𝚛 & 𝙱𝚊𝚖𝚋𝚞 𝚂𝚝𝚞𝚍𝚒𝚘—including 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚜-𝚘𝚗 𝚜𝚎𝚝𝚞𝚙 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚋𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚘𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 🛠️—at 𝐅𝐚𝐛𝐋𝐚𝐛 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥, the fabrication laboratory that made this event possible and successful. ✨
Guided by staff Danilo A. Raquion Jr. and Benedict B. Rivero, with Engr. Roberto O. Reblora Jr. leading the program, 🚀 they wrapped up by 𝚌𝚛𝚊𝚏𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 their own 𝟑𝐃 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐞𝐬 that spark ✨ 𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚒𝚝𝚢 and lay a solid foundation for 𝐟𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 💡

Yesterday, February 18, 2026, we had the wonderful opportunity to introduce the students of Bicol Regional Science High School to the world of digital fabrication. We dived into the essentials of digital fabrication, showcasing the equipment and processes that can turn their research visions into reality. We can’t wait to see the prototypes these future innovators will create!"
