In celebration of this year's United Nations Day, the DWCL SHS Chapter Club for UNESCO, in collaboration with the Senior High School Executive Board, organized a series of events with the theme "Uniting for Global Sustainability and Lasting Impact" from November 4-7, 2024.

-SDG Awareness through Posters

-Sustainable Vision

-Flags of the World

-SDG Adventure: Climb and Conquer

The event began with SDG Awareness through Posters and Sustainable Vision, in which the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were displayed in the SHS hallways to promote peace and inclusivity as well as to stimulate the foundation of knowledge of students at various levels of education to promote sustainability. Several SDG-related videos were shown on the TV screen to encourage people to take action to help the country become more sustainable.

The flags of the world were displayed to encourage worldwide variety and broaden international understanding of diverse civilizations throughout the world.

Following the aforementioned activities, the event's centerpiece is the SDG Adventure: Climb and Conquer, a snakes and ladders-inspired game with United Nations and Sustainable Development Goals at its core.

The first round of the SDG Adventure: Climb and Conquer elimination round took place on November 5, 2024, at the Science Laboratory and Conference Room. Participants were separated into four groups, and the winners were:

Game 1- Cyline Joyce A. Alfuente (Grade 11- Fr. Miguel Hergesheimer, SVD)

Game 2- Ila Prizia Rey (Grade 12- Br. Ulricus Meyer, SVD)

Game 3- Irish Nicole Tan (Grade 12- Fr. Herman Mueller, SVD)

Game 4- Lorraine Ilagan ( Grade 12 Fr. Leonardo Estioko, SVD)

The second round of the competition was on November 6, 2024. The contestants were paired to compete to qualify for the finals. The winners for this round were:

Game 5- Irish Nicole Tan (Grade 12- Fr. Herman Mueller, SVD)

Game 6- Lorraine Ilagan ( Grade 12 Fr. Leonardo Estioko, SVD)

The championship round was held on November 7, 2024, at the SHS Lobby, wherein human-sized snakes and ladders were prepared and the participants acted as the pawns of the game. The game became more intense when the two players were both nearing the end block. At the end, Irish Nicole Tan of Grade 12-Fr. Herman Mueller, SVD. was declared the champion of the game.
