Chairperson and Student Regent
2004-2005

From the College of Arts and Sciences (AB Political Science), Benigno Austero holds the distinction of being the first Democrat Chairperson and Student Regent of Bicol University. As the first University Student Council (USC) Chairperson to champion the principles of freedom, equality, and vigilance, he redefined student leadership at BU and laid the groundwork for student representation rooted in democratic values.

2005-2006

A proud graduate of the College of Education (BS Education, Major in Social Studies), Expedito Lobetania became the second Democrat Chairperson and Student Regent. Known for his compassionate and congenial leadership, he was deeply admired in his college community. He also displayed exceptional leadership skills as the President of the student council of BU Graduate School. He continued his service as a professor at BU College of Education, where he also served as the College Student Council (CSC) Adviser and College Student Activities Coordinator, nurturing the next generation of student leaders.

BUeΓ±os, ang apoy ng pagbabago ay magliliyab na! Ayon sa USEB Resolution no. 3 s. 2025, narito ang mga Lideratos na magtataas ng bandila ng Student Rights and Welfare at muling magpapasigla ng ating kolektibong pag-asang makamit ang dapat na sa atin.

Sama-sama nating buksan ang bagong kabanata ng kasaysayan, isang kabanata kung saan ang boses ng bawat estudyante ang maririninig at ipapanalo!

Kasama kayo at ang malawak na hanay ng estudyante, muling magsisiklab ang pag-asa sa bawat puso ng BUeΓ±os. Hanggang sa tagumpay, mag aalab ang BUeΓ±ong mismong babaklas sa lumang sistema!
