𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑫𝒂𝒚, 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒉 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕! 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤-𝐭𝐨-𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐈𝐭 𝐈𝐬!

Palangon High School officially opened the School Year 2026–2027 on June 8, 2026, at Palangon, Libmanan, Camarines Sur. Junior and Senior High School students were warmly welcomed as they embarked on another academic year.

The day began with students proceeding to their respective classrooms, followed by the flag ceremony, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, an opening prayer, and the rendition of the Bicol March. The teaching and non-teaching personnel were then introduced, including the Junior and Senior High School teachers.

The school principal, Sir Roberto B. Malazarte, delivered his welcoming remarks, inspiring the students and setting a positive tone for the new school year.

‎Palangon High School successfully conducted the ARAL Program Culminating Activity with the theme, “Celebrating Literacy, Learning, and Achievement through ARAL,” on June 5, 2026, at Palangon High School.
‎
‎The program started with an opening prayer led by Ms. Kyle Cateleya Arroyo, ARAL learner, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem led by Ma’am Lalyn V . Avengoza. The ceremony was hosted by Sir Eleazar Cardenas, and Sir Isaac Beriña who served as the Master of Ceremonies. To formally open the program, the school head, Sir Roberto B. Malazarte, delivered his opening remarks and encouraged the learners to continue striving for academic success.

Ma’am Jessebel L. Castillo, the ARAL Coordinator, presented an overview of the ARAL Program and an audio-visual presentation. The guest speaker, Mr. Darius Salvador V. Deiparine, shared his inspiring journey and the challenges he faced in learning how to read,and how to keep pace with other students. Despite being belittled by others, he remained determined and continued working hard to overcome his fears and difficulties.

‎To showcase their learning and talents, the ARAL learners performed an acrostic, poetry recitation, and a dance presentation. Their performances reflected the confidence and skills they developed throughout the program.

‎A testimonial sharing was also presented by Ms. Angelica Callada, who shared her experiences and the positive impact of the ARAL Program on her learning journey.

The activity concluded with the awarding of certificates and recognition to the ARAL learners for their improvement and achievements during the 20-day program. Through the cooperation of the learners, volunteer teachers, the support of Ma’am Ma. Criselda E. Casasola, PSDS of Libmanan II District, and the leadership of Sir Roberto B. Malazarte, School Head, the ARAL Program was successfully implemented, highlighting the importance of literacy, perseverance, and continuous learning.
