Cebu—with its breathtaking beaches, vibrant culture, and warm-hearted people is truly one of the jewels of the Philippines. But behind this beauty, our streets and coastlines are increasingly threatened by the rise of littering and poor waste habits.

‎Just recently in Barangay Binaliw, a massive landfill collapse reminded us of what happens when waste is not properly managed—affecting not only the environment but also lives. Cebu City is still facing garbage disposal issues, leading to stricter enforcement of anti-littering laws. Authorities are encouraging residents to improve trash segregation and proper disposal to help manage the problem.‎

‎Let’s honor the beauty of Cebu by choosing responsible habits every day because a cleaner Cebu starts with YOU.

Under the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 (RA 9003), proper waste segregation and disposal is required in the Philippines.
