𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐙𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 | 𝐏𝐒𝐔 𝐀𝐁 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐀𝐋𝐓-𝐈𝐂 2025

Faculty members of the Bachelor of Arts in English Language program of Pangasinan State University- Lingayen Campus actively participated in the 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 (𝑷𝑨𝑳𝑻) 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 2025, held on November 27–29, 2025, at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila.

The PSU AB English Language faculty delegation was composed of 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐬, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐞𝐳 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐚𝐧, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐢, and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐊𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐚, together with faculty members from PSU Alaminos and PSU Urdaneta campus. They served as part of the conference’s Technical Working Group, contributing significantly to registration and logistics throughout the three-day international event.

On the second day of the conference, the faculty engaged in academic sessions focusing on 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙀𝙙-𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝, 𝙆𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙣, and 𝙋𝙤𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙋𝙚𝙙𝙖𝙜𝙤𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚. These sessions offered timely insights into emerging trends in English language education and reinforced PSU’s commitment to innovation and interdisciplinary learning.

A key highlight of the conference was a plenary hall session moderated by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐚, during which 𝐃𝐫. 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐬 and 𝐌𝐬. 𝐏𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐚𝐧 presented PSU AB English Language best practices. The sessions were also marked by meaningful exchanges and scholarly conversations with fellow educators and academic leaders, particularly on institutional collaboration, significant stakeholders across universities, and the internationalization of departments and programs.

The faculty’s successful involvement in the conference was underpinned by the strong support of the university administration, led by 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐫. 𝐄𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬 and 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬. Their leadership and encouragement continue to empower faculty members to represent the university with excellence on international academic platforms.

The active participation of the PSU AB English Language faculty in the PALT International Conference 2025 reflects the university’s collective vision of academic excellence, global engagement, and professional growth. Through institutional backing, scholarly contribution, and service-oriented leadership, PSU continues to strengthen its presence in international language education — bringing home insights, innovations, and collaborations that will benefit both the institution and the wider academic community.

Pangasinan State University Lingayen Campus is currently illuminating the season of hope and unity with its annual Lantern Parade and Kalutan 2025, held today, December 5, 2025. The entire campus community is celebrating under the inspiring theme, "TALA 2025: Tanglaw ng Liwanag tungo sa Pagkakaisa at Pag-asa". This theme beautifully captures the academic community's aspiration to serve as a guiding light, actively fostering solidarity and optimism as the year draws to a close.

The festivities are being spearheaded by the dynamic Campus Executive Director, Dr. Marie Claire B. Briones, who consistently highlights the profound significance of the event in strengthening the camaraderie among all students, faculty members, and staff. The campus grounds have transformed into a dazzling spectacle as students from the various colleges are showcasing their creatively designed lanterns. These glowing masterpieces, which range from intricate traditional Filipino designs to modern, abstract interpretations of the theme "TALA," are parading along the main avenues right now. Each lantern is a vivid testament to the students' ingenuity, dedicated hard work, and the bright, diverse spirit that defines the PSU Lingayen Campus. The parade is culminating in the judging and subsequent awarding of the most luminous and innovative entries.

The community is gathering for the traditional Kalutan, which is a local term for a communal celebration often involving shared feasting and grilling. This engaging and lively part of the program provides a perfect setting for the extended PSU family to share a meal, exchange heartfelt holiday greetings, and enjoy diverse performances that range from time-honored traditional dances and carols to modern musical numbers.

The PSU LC Lantern Parade and Kalutan 2025 is successfully serving as a powerful, luminous reminder of the warmth and intellectual vibrancy of the campus, effectively capping off the year with a brilliant display of creativity, unified community spirit, and an optimistic outlook for the coming academic year.
