𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐲!

Pursuant to Republic Act no. 11144, s. 2018, we celebrate 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐲 and commemorate the 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐥. Born in the city of Calamba on 19 June 1861, Rizal spent his childhood in the family home that is now preserved as the 𝘔𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘰 𝘯𝘪 𝘑𝘰𝘴é 𝘙𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘭, a heritage site where his memory and ideals continue to inspire.

The 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 is not only the home of our national hero but also a province known for its historical lakeside settlements, colonial heritage structures, natural and ecological treasures, local legends and folklore, and the contributions of revolutionaries and visionary leaders who helped shape the nation. The province is likewise known for its rich culinary heritage and vibrant crafts, with each city and municipality showcasing the talents and traditions of its local artisans, makers, and culinary experts. ✨

On this day, let’s explore not only the life and legacy of our national hero but also the rich history, culture, and heritage of the province that nurtured his early years.
