The UP Ranchersโ€™ Club introduces you to its newest trivia series known as the ๐—ฉ๐—ฎ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ผ ๐—”๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ถ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐˜€! Be it about facts related to farming, animal management, gastronomy, food science, history, haciendero life, etc. Get indulged with random knowledge as we continue to create and nurture the interest in the field of Animal Science and related disciplines.

๐˜ฝ๐™ค๐™จ ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ช๐™ง๐™ช๐™จ (European cattle) and ๐˜ฝ๐™ค๐™จ ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™™๐™ž๐™˜๐™ช๐™จ (Zebu or Tropical cattle) not only differ in terms of their physical appearance and climate adaptation. European-derived cattle are generally considered to have a tastier flavour profile due a physiological process known as marbling, making such beef best for premium steaks and culinary purposes.
Marbling refers to the development and accumulation of fat within the muscles (i.e., intramuscular fat) which translates to greater tenderness and juiciness of beef. The muscles of Bos ta**us have smaller fibre sizes too, contributing to such quality.
