HAPPY FEAST DAY ST. JEROME
Patron Saint of Librarians and Libraries

St. Jerome (347-420) was a Christian priest, theologian and historian, and one of the most important figures in the development of Western Christianity. He is best known for his translation of the Bible into Latin which became the standard version of the Bible in the Western Church.

St. Jerome is considered a patron saint of librarians, scholars and translators because of his great scholarly work. His feast day is celebrated on September 30th.
