SERVICE AND REPAIR SHOP ACCREDITATION

READ | Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 1572, the Department of Trade and Industry - Davao Oreintal Provincial Office (DTI-DOPO) reminds service and repair enterprises (SREs) to file their new or renewal application for service and repair shop accreditation on or before the last working day of January 2024.

Section 1 of the said decree mandates enterprises and technical personnel engaged in the service and repair industry to apply for accreditation with DTI. The decree aims to give adequate protection and defend the interest of the public against unethical, unfair, and incompetent practice of SREs and to protect reliable and competent SREs against malpractices.

Reminders:
1. SRE accreditation is valid from the date of issuance up to December 31st of the calendar year.
2. Late renewal (renewal after January 31st) is subject to 25% surcharge and administrative charges.
