Our OG is turning 10 this year! 🎉

He’s the sweetest and our most intelligent bubbie. The moment you sit down, he’ll immediately rest his head on your lap and wait for pats and head scratches. 💚

He learned tricks so easily and even picked up a few just by watching me train the trio. “Speak,” “Say Hi,” and I know there was another one. 😆

He’s usually very nonchalant, chill, and quiet, unless we’re all in the dining room eating. 😂 The moment food is involved, he’ll bark at you nonstop until you give him some.

Ever wonder what happened to his eye? This very careful old man once went on an adventure with Chewie, my OG mischievous poodle. They stole breakfast food from our outside dogs and got attacked. Chewie managed to escape, but Yoki did not. Thankfully, nothing too serious happened, and he doesn’t seem to have any trauma from it.

He has gotten grumpier over the years, especially with Mango. He would growl at him whenever I gave out chews and puzzles and would even steal Mango’s share. They would growl at each other even inside their cage for idk what reason. 😅

He used to be patient with everyone until last year. He hates Gus, although there has never been an actual fight, only intense growling. Somehow, he still tolerates Asia whenever she tries to pester him, though she doesn’t really do that anymore. 🤣

Age? Not sure. 9? 10? 11? I adopted him on Feb. 2022 and was told he might already be 8–9 back then, but he sure has the energy of a 5-year-old!

This scraggly old man is Asia’s dad. Yep, he ain’t exactly good-looking, but somehow all his kids turned out pretty and handsome! 😆

Gus’ bff/bf/DOM. 😂 They have a love-hate relationship. This morning, Gus was peacefully sleeping when this old man suddenly bit his tail, which quickly spiraled into a fight. 🤦‍♀️ I get sad thinking one of them might cross first. If it’s Oreo, Gus will probably be heartbroken. But if it’s the other way around… how will Oreo cope?

He gets depressed when left alone. He even lost weight once when my 4-pack stayed in Davao! He refuses to eat alone — there always has to be a hooman nearby, or he’ll leave his food just to follow you around.

He loves chews even though his jaw was badly injured in a fight before he came here. Of course, I can’t give him any now because he can barely chew. I was told he almost died, but thankfully, he was nursed back to life. Had that not happened, I’m pretty sure he’d be happily stealing all our chews today!

I borrowed him at first. They got him under the table, hiding from the big dogs. He must have hidden there for a long time judging by his hunched back.

When he first arrived, he was soooo stinky! I brushed his teeth 3x a day, gave him baths every 3 days, and kept getting his ears checked until one day… he finally smelled better. Whew!

It took him 2 months to finally socialize with everyone. At first, he just stayed under a cupboard all day. His first BFF was Jaq, then somehow it became Gus. 😅

He’s also VERY quick to escape. This tiny old man once squeezed himself through a 2-inch gap in our cage and escaped. I still don’t know how he did that. He’s basically a monkey too — he used to climb the screen I placed by the living room just so he could get inside. 😆

The moment he gets inside their sleeping cage, he immediately knocks out. 🤣 He’s also the reason the boys suddenly forgot they were potty trained. Grabe mag-marking tong matandang ’to! 😆
