2 BILLION DOLLAR “SILICON VALLEY” FOR NEW GRADUATES TO RISE IN PAMPANGA
A massive global tech innovation hub is set to rise on a 200 hectare site spanning Angeles City and Mexico, Pampanga — soon to become home to more than 100 international technology companies. The 2 billion dollar project aims to create a thriving ecosystem where new graduates can build careers in IT and related fields.
Businessman Dennis Uy said the venture will boost economic activity in the place he calls home, describing the project as his way of giving back to Pampanga, especially to Angeles City where he grew up and began his business journey.
Uy noted that while many talented Filipinos are already excelling in global tech spaces like Silicon Valley, the Philippines still needs to build an ecosystem that can provide similar opportunities locally.
