To survive on a chilly winterโs day, a pack of wolves hunt together. They use strategy and collaboration to achieve success.
On the cold afternoon of October 17, 2025, at Don Bosco Mabalacat, students and teachers reconnected through this weekโs club meetings, where leaders learn to serve and servants learn to lead.
Laughter, chatter, and camaraderie filled the academy, as each club reviewed its mission and history. The day concluded with the praying of the Holy Rosary and the solemn lowering of the Philippine flag.

Every year, we pause to remember the life and sacrifice of Benigno โNinoyโ Aquino Jr. For many, he was more than just a politician โ he was a symbol of courage, faith, and selfless love for our nation. His decision to return to the Philippines in 1983, despite knowing he will lose his life, showed the world that true heroism means not prioritizing oneโs own safety, but sacrifice and service for a cause.
Ninoy once said, โThe Filipino is worth dying forโ . These words continue to echo past generation after generation, reminding us that real heroes are not measured by power, but by their willingness to be servant leaders. Ninoyโs martyrdom did not end with his death, it sparked something in the Filipinos, something that inspired a movement that ended a dictatorship, and restored democracy and hope in every Filipino.
For us Bosconians, his story is more than just a part of history. It is a reflection of the values that Don Bosco taught us: faith, service, and heroism. Heroism is not always about dying for oneโs cause. It is found in simple but sincere acts, acts where we stand for truth, serve others with love, and live each day with courage and integrity.
As we commemorate Ninoy Aquino Day, we are reminded that each of us is called to live with a heart like Ninoy, a heroโs heart. Like Don Boscoโs vision for the youth, we are invited to become good Christians and upright citizens, who do not live for ourselves โ but for others. In our classrooms, communities, and country, heroism begins with us.
Today, we honor Ninoy Aquino not only by remembering his sacrifice, but by living out his legacy. For every bosconian who chooses faith, courage, and service, Ninoyโs spirit of heroism continues to shine in each and every one of us.

A long time ago, a flock of those who wanted to write and speak the truth gathered at Don Bosco Academy Mabalacat. Throughout the arduous journey it flew through, it was unrelenting in its purpose and stayed true to its oath of unveiling what is not fabricated by lies. Recently, however, the flock became stagnant. It only did the minimum and did not soar beyond it, but like a phoenix, it will rise from the ashes and soar higher than the eye can see.
With a new age come new opportunities. The flock has aimed to regain its former self. With members now experienced in how to truly cry out, it only needs the new and the ambitious to continue and fulfill its long journey ahead. With a new event unfolding, it provides the necessary steps to achieve what it needs. After that, it is up to the flock to choose where to fly and land.
With all this, the flock will surely rise again and fly with a fiery voice and an even fierier purpose to finish what it couldn't in the past. However, how will it carry on by itself? That is where it will seek new members to aid it and help those who also wish to speak the truth. All that is left is this: are you willing to be one of those who seek, hear, and speak the truth?
