Lahat naman po ata nag-umpisa sa maliit o minsan pa nga wala, pero at first I doubted myself kung may mararating ba ako in this kind of job. Lalo na sa mga mata ng nakararami, pambabae or ilelabel ka as gay yung ganitong klase ng trabaho. 2021 na po, you’re still locked up in the age of your own beliefs, in short “Lipas na Pagiisip”🤣🤪.
As a make-up artist, the world is changing and this kind of job do not limit to one-gender only. Around the world there are more individuals who venture this profession regardless of every person’s differences, whether could be a real man too. What would be the main reasons? 1) Passion. They love what they do and they put their hearts for their works. We dedicate ourselves in learning and sharing it to those who needs our help. Lastly, we take positive and negative critiques, constructively. 2) Compensation. Of course, who doesn’t want to earn money. It’s a way of building and rebuilding one self after a stressful life from a previous job. 3) Time Management. For me, it was all perfect in creating my own schedules. We prepare things for the job and we do not choose our rest days. Sometimes, in this kind of job we endure to stand for hours and it can be more than that depending on how many people we do the session or how long the clients need our service. But, we never complain because of Passion and Compensation. You are the boss of your own business. Responsibility and credibility are at stakes.

Do not label sexuality, age, educational attainment and ethnicity to any types of jobs or professions. Remember that you do not choose your job, the job will choose you.

The TRANSFORMATION: Photos 1

Nadiscover ko ang talent ko sa pagdradrawing nung Grade 4 ako at dun nagumpisa lahat hanggang magkaroon ako ng prominent work. Lagi ako ang isinasali nila sa mga Poster-Making Contest, inter-level and inter-school competition man. After a while, I realized that artwork do not limit only by using papers, cardboards, pencils and crayons and oil pastels. There was this time that I tried make-up artistry with limited resources and it brought the feeling na nasabi ko sarili ko, “pwede pala ‘to”. Then I adapted my skills in drawing and painting at naiapply ko ito through a medium called, FACE. And I have became adventurous and experimental.

A skill can be honed through out time and experience however, talent and dedication are innate and should be shared to everyone.
