You don’t even notice that, do you?

When she says “it’s okay,” it’s not okay. When she tells you she’s “not upset,” she’s already done feeling anything. That fire, that passion she had when she wanted to fight for you, it’s gone. You let her feel alone while she was still with you. And now, she’s learned how to live without you.

The truth is, a woman doesn’t leave with a bang. She leaves quietly. She lets go softly because she’s already cried all her tears. She’s already fought all the battles. She’s given all she had to give. The silence you hear now is her goodbye.

You didn’t lose her all at once. You lost her piece by piece every time you made her feel like she wasn’t enough, every time you didn’t listen, every time you made her question her worth. And now, she’s gone, even if she’s still standing in front of you.

Don’t wait for the silence to come. Listen when she’s still making noise. Care when she still cares. Because when she finally stops, you’ll realize what you lost, but by then, it’ll be too late.
