GETTING SCHOOLS BACK IN SHAPE

With the new academic year fast approaching, Alsons Power's Western Mindanao Power Corporation donated painting implements to 39 elementary and high schools in Zamboanga, as it takes part in DepED's Brigada Eskwela 2014 in an effort to clean and repair schools nationwide in time for the students' enrollment.

WMPC likewise committed to provide a new library - complete with tables, chairs, shelves and books - for the students of Putik Central School.

Barangay Mampang, the host of one of WMPC's school-beneficiaries, was among the barangays placed under forced evacuation during the Zamboanga Siege and the school was one of the evacuation centers.
