Our resource speaker for our Indigo Dye Workshop, Mr Luis Agaid Jr. hails from Namarabar, Abra where the history of indigo dyeing has been present in their village for as long as he can remember. His father, the late Luis Agaid is known as the "Father of Philippine Natural Dyes".
The indigenous peoples of Abra are collectively known as Tingguians but they prefer to call themselves “Itneg”.
Very limited slots still available for our August 17 Natural and Indigo Dye Workshop . Fee: 4,850 inclusive of all materials for dyeing, snacks and lunch meal.
