✨ A candlelit tribute to a Filipino musical legend ✨
This May 2, Dilaab: Candlelit Experiences celebrates the music of National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab in an intimate evening of candlelight and timeless Filipino song.
Performed by a Rondalla Quartet from the Musiko Filipino Rondalla, this special edition reimagines some of Ryan Cayabyab’s most beloved compositions including Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika, Mamang Kutsero, Nais Ko, Tuwing Umuulan at Kapiling Ka, Araw-Gabi, Paraiso, and more -- all woven into the warm, resonant sound of Filipino string tradition.
Held two days before his birthday, this evening is both homage and celebration: a gathering in soft light to honor a composer whose melodies have shaped generations of Filipino memory, emotion, and song.
Before the music begins, guests are invited to arrive early and take in the exhibitions at the Yuchengco Museum, allowing the space, art, and atmosphere to gently lead into the evening's experience.

An evening of Filipino musical heritage, candlelit reflection, and melodies that continue to live in all of us.

𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐤𝐨 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐑𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚 reimagines 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜 through the soul of the banduria, octavina, guitar, and ukubass — instruments rooted in Filipino heritage.
