The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III has officially released a memorandum calling on all public and private higher education institutions in Central Luzon to actively participate in the observance of World Tuberculosis (TB) Day 2026. With the theme “YES! PILIPINAS CAN : Magpasuri, Magpagamot, at Mag-TPTodo para Protektado,” institutions are encouraged to organize internal awareness campaigns and promote responsible health practices within their campuses. This initiative highlights the crucial role of academic communities in strengthening public health efforts and protecting students, faculty, and personnel from tuberculosis.

In collaboration with the Department of Health, the memorandum also provides access to Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to support schools in their advocacy activities. Resources from the National TB Program and Healthy Lungs PH are made available to guide institutions in conducting screenings and disseminating accurate information about TB prevention and treatment. Through collective action and sustained awareness, the region reaffirms its commitment to ending tuberculosis and building healthier learning environments for all.
