Feast of the Presentation of our Lord in the Temple
also known for Filipinos as Candelaria where we bring candles in the church in procession for the blessing. Traditionally these candles for the old folks where kept in the house after the mass and lighted during the difficult times of sickness in the house hold, during tragedies and storms. For some after the Candlemas the candle remains lighted the whole day of February 2 in their altars at home.
