Alter Eco, a community-based organization, is now officially registered with the National Youth Commission as one of the established organizations in the Municipality of Mandaon, Province of Masbate. They received their recognition from the Local Government Unit at the Mandaon Municipal Hall on June 28, 2024, together with the LYDO Officer Ms. Marinel Sese, the Municipal Administrator Frank Obtial, as well as the Barangay SK Chairpersons.

The KALINISAN Program is a convergence initiative to consolidate all efforts of the government to maintain and provide a healthy and safe environment for all by capacitating local government units and enabling community participation anchored on the tradition of "bayanihan."

On the 6th day of January 2024, the Eco Warriors of Alter Eco participated on the KALINISAN Day of their respective barangays in Mandaon, Masbate, along with the barangay officials, SK officials, and other partner organizations. Truly, their desire to serve doesn't limit their capacity to take action.

To support tourism and local economies, protect wildlife, and increase public awareness of the dangers that litter causes to both animal life and communities, the Alter Eco Organization has continued to conduct clean-up drives.

The Alter Eco's fifth clean-up drive was held on July 12, 2022, at Baranggay Cabitan, Mandaon, Masbate. Regardless of the weather, Eco Warriors are still determined to finish cleaning the roadside with the SSC DEBESMSCAT and LGU Cabitan.
