When Samuel was sent to anoint the next king of Israel, he expected someone tall, strong, and impressive like Saul. But God reminded him that His standards are different. While people are drawn to appearances, achievements, or charisma, God’s gaze penetrates deeper — He sees the heart.
This verse is both comforting and challenging. Comforting, because it means our worth isn’t tied to how we look, what we own, or how others perceive us. Challenging, because it calls us to examine the hidden motives, desires, and integrity within. God values humility, sincerity, and faithfulness more than outward success.

Check your motives: Ask yourself if your actions are driven by love for God or by desire for recognition.
Cultivate inner character: Focus on honesty, kindness, and faithfulness rather than appearances.
Encourage others: Remind people that God sees their heart, even when the world overlooks them.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, help me to care less about outward appearances and more about the condition of my heart. Purify my motives, strengthen my faith, and shape me into someone who reflects Your love from the inside out. In Jesus' name. Amen.

We kicked off our Vacation Bible School with the first “C” — Creation — shared with 69 wonderful children ages 2 to 13. 🌱🐒
The program was lovingly repackaged to fit our community’s setting, time, and resources, and it was such a joy to see the kids learning and growing together.
🙏 A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to make this possible. Truly, all glory belongs to God alone!
We give thanks to the Lord for His gracious hand in bringing the Citadel brethren together. Through His blessing, our Sportfest became not only a time of enjoyment and fellowship, but also a celebration of unity and the joy found in His presence. Truly, all glory belongs to Him.
