Scripture Anchor: Romans 12:11 – “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.”
*Passion* is a gift from God. It is the fire in our hearts that drives us to pursue what we value most. Left unchecked, passion can lead us toward selfish desires or fleeting pleasures. But when surrendered to Christ, passion becomes a holy flame—fueling love, service, and perseverance.
The greatest example of passion is found in the _Passion of Christ._ His suffering and death were not accidents of history, but the ultimate expression of His passionate love for us.
John 15:13 reminds us: “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Jesus’ passion was not about self-fulfillment, but self-sacrifice. He endured the cross because His heart burned with love for the Father and for us.
