It's been almost two years since we've planned to record and release a song for our band. After countless rehearsals, sleepless nights, trial and error, and huge adjustments, sa wakas, nandito na tayo.

THE MEMBERS | Rod Allen Movilla Samut

Allen Movilla, Silent May’s vocalist and one of its founding members, is dedicated to connecting with people through his music. As the band’s main songwriter, he focuses on writing songs that reflect real-life experiences, aiming to create something listeners can truly relate to. He started writing music at 15 with a dream of making songs that speak to others. After years of trial and error, he is proud to say that forming Silent May was worth the wait.

His musical influences have evolved over the years, from balladeers like Josh Groban, Martin Nievera, and Ogie Alcasid, to pop icons such as Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran. He draws songwriting inspiration from OPM bands like December Avenue and Sponge Cola, which has helped shape his unique sound.

Now a 5th-year student at the UST Conservatory of Music, he is honing his craft in Music Theater under the guidance of Dr. Ronan H. Ferrer. In addition to his studies, he is an active member and officer of UST Coro Tomasino, where he continues to balance his love for music and leadership.
