REP. SANDRO MARCOS, SINABING WALA SIYANG KAPANGYARIHAN PARA PIGILAN ANG IMPEACHMENT
Nilinaw ni House Majority Leader at Ilocos Norte Rep. Sandro Marcos na wala siyang kapangyarihan para pigilan ang kahit anong impeachment, kasama na rito ang isinampa laban sa kanyang ama na si Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
Ayon kay Rep. Marcos, tungkulin nila bilang mga mambabatas na tanggapin at asikasuhin ang mga impeachment laban sa kahit anong opisyal.
“We need to remind people, Congress is constitutionally bound to hear these cases for anyone, for any impeachable officer, whether that is the President or not,” ani Marcos.
“So sa mga nagsasabi na baka harangin nila yung impeachment I cannot do, and I have to perform my duty as majority leader and perform my duty to the constitution and my mandate. That is to say that I cannot stop any impeachment complaint from being referred to the floor or to the committee of justice,” dagdag pa niya.
Ngayong 2026, hinihikayat ni Pres. Bongbong Marcos na mas magkaisa pa ang mga Pilipino para sa kaunlaran ng bansa.
Samantala, sumentro rin sa pagkakaisa at panibagong simula ng buhay ang mensahe ni Vice Pres. Sara Duterte ngayong Bagong Taon.
