Easterlies affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao

The tropical storm in the Pacific Ocean has strengthened to a Tropical Storm Category and now has the international name , according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
The storm is currently packing maximum sustained winds of 85 kph and gustiness of up to 120 kph. The storm is moving westward at 15 kph.
Based on weather models, there is still a high chance that it will become a strong storm or possibly reach the TYPHOON or SUPER TYPHOON Category next week, but the chance of it entering the PAR is now slightly decreasing.
If it does enter or peek into the PAR, it will be called as the third typhoon within the PAR this year. The chance of it making landfall in the country remains low.
