Inspired by the tailoring trends of the 90s, the pinstripe suit and faux leather tie is a retro take on the classic suit with a boxy silhouette and padded shoulders that drapes loosely on the wearer. As fashion slowly transitions away from form-fitting "skinny" clothing and into loose oversized fits, the suit represents the cusp between the two trends.

Although a bit less conceptual than previous works, I've always been a big believer of learning the fundamentals of a medium before venturing on experimentation, hence this suit. I've also been wanting to do something a bit more traditional, specifically with menswear—and what's more traditional menswear than tailoring? But mostly because I needed a suit for my grad pictures.
