Ever wonder why your kitchen outlets are placed just so? Turns out, there are super-smart rules behind it! Check these out:

1️⃣ Too Far is a No-Go:
Outlets on your countertops must be no more than 24 inches apart. Why? So your blender, coffee maker, or toaster always has a plug nearby—no annoying extensions!

2️⃣ Islands Have Power:
If your kitchen island is bigger than a cutting board (24x12 inches), it must have at least one outlet. Perfect for whipping up smoothies or charging your phone while you cook!

3️⃣ Close to the Edge:
A counter that divides your kitchen and another room? It needs an outlet within 6 feet of the end. Convenient for anything from a lamp to a laptop.

4️⃣ Perfect Placement:
Outlets are usually placed 48–52 inches off the floor to match countertop height—easy to use and out of the way.

5️⃣ Wall Power Magic:
Wall outlets above your counters can’t be more than 4 feet apart. This means you’re always within arm’s reach of power!
