MGA BIKTIMA UMANO NG EJK, NANGANGAMBA NA MAARING PUMILI ULIT ANG PILIPINAS NG ISANG LIDER NA KATULAD NI DATING PANGULONG DUTERTE

Ibinahagi ni Atty. Joel Butuyan, counsel ng mga biktima ng gera kontra ipinagbabawal na gamot ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na kung hindi mapapanagot ang dating presidente ay maaring makaapekto ito sa pagpili ng susunod na lider ng bansa.

Sa kanyang pahayag, sinabi ni Butuyan na tanging ang katotohanan lamang na maibabahagi ng mga witness ang maaring makapagpagising sa mga Pilipino.

Hiling ni Butuyan sa ICC na ituloy ang paglilitis kay Duterte upang malaman ng taumbayan ang katotohanan.

Ayon pa kay Butuyan, maaring mas malala pa ang mangyari sa bansa kung pumili ang Pilipinas ng lider na katulad ni Duterte lalo na't hindi na sakop ng ICC ang Pilipinas.

Matatandaang sa ngayon ay si Vice President Sara Duterte pa lamang ang nag-anunsyo na tatakbo siya bilang susunod na lider ng Pilipinas sa 2028.

ICC Deputy Prosecutor Mandiaye Niang delivered an opening statement outlining key evidence presented by prosecutors in connection with the investigation into former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s anti-drug campaign.

Niang emphasized the significance of the hearing for victims and the broader pursuit of accountability under international law.

“Today marks an important day for international justice, for the people of the Philippines, for the victims, and for this court… It is also a reminder that those in power are not above the law,” said Niang.

“There are substantial grounds to believe that [Rodrigo] Duterte is criminally responsible for three counts of murder just spelled out and attempted murder as crimes against humanity,” he added.

‘WALA PO KAMING PAG-UUSAP SA PAKIKIPAGKOALISYON’

House Senior Deputy Minority Leader Rep. Egay Erice has dismissed speculation of talks between the Liberal Party and the administration of Bongbong Marcos regarding a possible coalition.

In an interview on the program Ted Failon and DJ Chacha, Erice firmly denied that any discussions were taking place.

“Wala pa po kaming pag-uusap na pormal sa partido liberal at lalong wala po kaming pag-uusap sa pakikipagkoalisyon. Palagay ko po ‘yan po ay napakalayo… Sa palagay ko po ay pati yung mga nam*tay naming leader, baka bumangon sa kanilang kinalalagyan kung kami ay makikipagkoalisyon sa (Marcos) administration,” Erice said.
