Since it’s 🐇🥚✝️Easter Sunday, I can now share this: it’s my personal custom illustration, created entirely in 🟦Photoshop from scratch, and it's less than half a gigabyte. However, this is an older piece of artwork.

Occasionally, I still miss creating 🖼️custom art. I want to point out that satisfaction levels vary when you do something from scratch or when it’s your own work, compared to when you use AI. You can still find satisfaction in AI-generated work somehow, but you’re becoming a hybrid creator, producer, and director, and that’s okay.

I still encourage my 👨🏻‍💻 mentees to practice art and design on their own now and then and to take a 🗓️ short break from AI at least once in a while, so they won’t forget the joy and fulfillment of creating art.

🧐 Unpacking Forgotten Island Film Trailer 🧐

This is an analysis of the Filipino and Asian cultural references found in this DreamWorks film. Note that not all references are exclusively Asian — some reflect broader popular items or trends tied to the film's time period.

A few observations may be hunches and purely based on my opinion and limited knowledge, as they are based solely on the short trailer we've seen and on details that may have been intentionally withheld, such as the actual brands not being used in the film for legal reasons.

Perhaps we can get more definitive answers once the film is released in September.
