“When a generation tolerates a sin, the next will celebrate it, and the generation after them won't even know it's a sin."
This made me stop and think.
Not because it reminded me of other people.
It reminded me of myself.
If I'm being honest, there were things that slowly pulled me away from God.
Not because I thought they were right.
I just got used to them.
And I think that's how compromise starts.
Not with one big decision.
But with small ones.
“I'll pray tomorrow."
“It's just this once."
“Everyone else is doing it."
“It's not that serious."
Little by little, we stop listening to God's gentle voice.
Not because He stopped speaking.
But because we became more comfortable with our own way.
Before I worry about what the world is accepting...
I have to ask myself:
“Lord, is there anything in my heart that I've started accepting that You want me to let go of?"
Because it's easy to share Bible verses.
It's harder to let those verses change us.
It's easy to talk about other people's sins.
It's harder to admit our own.
The truth is, we all need God's grace.
Every one of us.
Jesus never changed the truth to make people comfortable.
But He never stopped loving people either.
That's the kind of Christian I want to be.
Someone who speaks the truth with love.
Someone who points people to Jesus, not to myself.
Someone who remembers that I also need His mercy every single day.
Repentance isn't God trying to shame us.
It's God inviting us back home.
He's not saying,
“I'm done with you."
He's saying,
“Come back. I have something better for you."
Our generation doesn't just need more opinions.
We need more people who truly follow Jesus.
People who choose His way even when it's hard.
And can I encourage you with something?
Let's not only pray for ourselves.
Let's start praying for the next generation today.
Pray for your future children.
Pray for your younger siblings.
Pray for the youth in your church.
Pray for the students in your school.
Pray that they will know Jesus for themselves.
Pray that they will love God's Word.
Pray that they will have the courage to stand for what is right, even when it's not popular.
Because one prayer today can become someone's strength tomorrow.
The Bible says in Psalm 145:4,
“One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts."
Let's be that generation.
The generation that doesn't just talk about God...
But helps the next generation know Him.
So before we ask God to change the world...
Let's ask Him to change us first.
“Lord, start with me. Help me live in a way that leads the next generation closer to You."

One quiet morning, a turtle watched an ant carrying a crumb many times larger than its own body. The little creature stumbled over pebbles, climbed tiny hills, and slipped into cracks, yet each time it fell, it picked up the crumb and continued walking.
The turtle smiled.
“You are so small,” the turtle said. “Why do you work so hard for something so heavy?”
The ant paused and replied, “Because my strength is not measured by my size, but by my purpose.”
The turtle lowered its head and looked at its own slow-moving feet.
“I have always wished I were faster,” the turtle admitted. “The rabbits laugh at me. The deer pass me without noticing. Sometimes I wonder if being slow means I am falling behind in life.”
The ant gently smiled.
“Have you ever noticed,” it asked, “that I hurry every day, yet I never mock your pace? And though you move slowly, you never envy my speed. Nature gave us different journeys because it gave us different purposes.”
The turtle reflected on those words as they continued traveling together.
The ant taught the turtle that determination can overcome obstacles far greater than ourselves.
The turtle taught the ant that peace is found by refusing to rush through a life meant to be lived with patience.
As the sun began to set, they reached a river.
The ant could not cross alone.
The turtle quietly lowered its shell.
“Climb aboard,” the turtle said.
The ant smiled, carrying its heavy crumb onto the turtle’s back.
In that moment, each possessed what the other lacked. The ant had relentless perseverance. The turtle had steady endurance.
Life is much the same.
Some people are born to move quickly, building dreams one tireless step at a time. Others move more slowly, carrying wisdom that can only be learned through patience. Comparing your journey to someone else’s is like asking an ant to swim or a turtle to race across the branches of a tree.
The world does not reward everyone in the same season.
Some victories belong to those who never stop moving.
Others belong to those who never stop believing.
Walk at the pace God has given you, carry the purpose He has placed within you, and never measure your worth by another person’s journey.
For in the end, the ant reached its home because it never gave up.
The turtle reached its destination because it never turned back.
Different paths.
Different pace.
The same quiet victory of a faithful life.

Keep being authentic. Don't spend your life trying to become someone that everyone understands or approves of.
Keep becoming the person you're proud to be, regardless of who applauds or criticizes you.
Just like a beautiful piece of art, not everyone will understand your value, and they don't have to.
Your purpose is not to be admired but to be genuinely yourself. The right people will see the beauty in who you are, and the most important person who needs to believe in you is YOU. 🫶✨
