Paul claims that the Gospel he proclaimed came from the Lord Jesus himself, who also directly commissioned him to be an apostle for the non-Jews. He did not learn it from any believer. Naturally, people became suspicious of him. However, he said that he met with the key apostles in Jerusalem twice to present his Gospel to them. This led to them to have the right hand of fellowship in reaching out to the Jews and the non-Jews alike, while rejecting the false gospel, which demanded compliance with the Law of Moses.
