Surveys show that a big majority of people wants Sara impeached. In fact the House has not only impeached her but is also well prepared with a battery of competent lawyers to lay down strong evidence against Sara in the Senate impeachment trial. But many are wondering why Sara’s defense has not directly responded to the articles of impeachment. Is It because it is part of their legal strategy, or because they are relying on the votes of Sen. Cayetano’s dds bloc pursuant to “Article XI, Sec.3(6) of the 1987 Constitution which states unequivocally that no person shall be convicted without the concurrence of two-thirds of all the members of the senate” which means 16 votes needed. The Gatchalian bloc has only 12 members. Unless of course some members of the Cayetano's dds bloc would change their mind and be independently guided by strong and convincing evidence against Sara.
