𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: On or about 𝟐𝟔 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 (𝐏𝐒𝐂) 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝟏𝟕-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 successfully conducted its first 𝑷𝒉𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑭𝒊𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑻𝒆𝒔𝒕 (𝑷𝑭𝑻) at the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱, 𝐏𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐨 𝐎𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐨 𝐒𝐫, 𝐒𝐭. 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞. The class was composed of 30 students who participated in the activity as part of their Non-Academic Module.

Within the culture of the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 (𝐏𝐂𝐆), the PFT is far more than a routine bureaucratic requirement; it is a critical instrument of operational readiness. Members of the PCG are routinely tasked with demanding responsibilities, from enforcing maritime law across the archipelago to conducting perilous search and rescue operations in hostile sea conditions. For future paralegal specialists, physical fitness is also the foundation of mental resilience. The cognitive demands and intense psychological pressures of legal training necessitate a high degree of mental clarity. Regular, rigorous physical exertion acts as a vital psychological buffer, significantly reducing stress, mitigating anxiety, and sharpening the cognitive performance required to navigate complex legal doctrines under pressure.

This milestone event was made possible through the leadership and support of 𝑪𝑶𝑴𝑴𝑶 𝑫𝑶𝑵𝑬𝑻𝑻𝑬 𝑨 𝑫𝑶𝑳𝑰𝑵𝑨 𝑷𝑪𝑮, 𝑪𝑶𝑴𝑴𝑨𝑵𝑫𝑬𝑹, 𝑪𝑶𝑨𝑺𝑻 𝑮𝑼𝑨𝑹𝑫 𝑳𝑬𝑮𝑨𝑳 𝑺𝑬𝑹𝑽𝑰𝑪𝑬 (𝑪𝑮𝑳𝑺). The Coast Guard Special Service Center provided expert facilitation, while the 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐂𝐆𝐌𝐄𝐃) ensured the safety and well-being of all participants through on-site medical assistance.

Ultimately, the successful completion of the PFT by PSC Class 17-2026 reinforces the PCG’s enduring dedication to developing well-rounded, capable personnel. By balancing academic specialization with uncompromising physical standards, the Coast Guard ensures that its legal and paralegal officers do not just possess sharp minds, but also the physical stamina and moral fortitude necessary to withstand the trials of military service. Through milestones like this, the Command builds a resilient force, uniquely equipped to uphold the rule of law and defend the maritime interests of the nation.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐎𝐧 𝟎𝟖 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞, through 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬, convened the 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 (𝐏𝐒𝐂) 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝟏𝟕-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, which consisted of thirty (30) students from different units of the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 at the Bachrach Auditorium, Bachrach Building, Port Area, Manila.

𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐄 𝐆 𝐂𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐁𝐘𝐀𝐁 𝐏𝐂𝐆, 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐂𝐆-𝟏𝟐; Acting Commander, 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞; and the 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧, presided over the convening ceremony. In her speech, 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐄 𝐆 𝐂𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐁𝐘𝐀𝐁 𝐏𝐂𝐆 reminded the student that a coast guardian must understand not only how to conduct operations, but how to conduct them lawfully, ethically, and professionally. She shared several learning strategies that may help future paralegal specialists succeed, not only in this course but in actual operations.

𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐎 𝐍𝐎𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐄 𝐆 𝐂𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐁𝐘𝐀𝐁 𝐏𝐂𝐆 left the students with a challenge, stating: “Someday, during an actual operation, there may be no lawyer beside you. There may be no time to open a legal manual. There will only be your training, your judgment, and your discipline. So use this course not merely to pass examinations, but to prepare yourselves for responsibility.”

The 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 is designed to develop Coast Guard personnel into competent paralegal specialists who can provide essential legal support in the performance of their duties. It aims to strengthen the Philippine Coast Guard’s capacity to uphold the rule of law by equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and discipline necessary to interpret, apply, and enforce legal principles in operational contexts.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐎𝐧 𝟎𝟖 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐂𝐆𝐋𝐒), through the 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬, held the 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 of the 𝐂𝐆𝐋𝐒 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝟎𝟑-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 at the Bachrach Auditorium, Bachrach Building, Port Area, Manila.

The class is composed of personnel who successfully completed the orientation program designed to familiarize them with the structure, mandate, and responsibilities of the Coast Guard Legal Service.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honor and Speaker, 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐎 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄 𝐀 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐀, 𝐏𝐂𝐆, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫, 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞.
