The usual busy streets are on pause due to the pandemic but in reality all of us are forced to quickly move and adapt to the new normal.

For some, staying at home is great but most of us are actually struggling and panicking to adjust and make ourselves or our work be as productive as before.

Even though it has been a year, some of us are still in the midst of the viscious cycle of adapting to the quarantine life. In these times where things are immensely changing, I've honestly been working and striving hard. Thinking that the situation won't get better unless I sacrifice rest because why would the 1980’s proverb, "No Pain, No Gain" become famous if it weren't true. I believe that a lot of those successful people whom we are looking up to have humble beginnings, stories of perseverance, faith, and self control. And behind those hardships, there are grateful hearts inspired by their influences in their lives.

We all acknowledge that life isn't truly easy——that in order to personally grow, we would have to step out of our comfort or sometimes ‘rest’. It is great to be reassured that somehow sacrificing rest is indeed normal, but keeping things without a pause and walking in this life without a purpose is like a life in circle. To live in accordance to God’s will is a life with purpose and direction. Our every day is indeed a battlefield but being assured the Lord will keep us and will give immeasurable comfort and peace is the best rest we could ever have.

Sacrificing rest is sometimes good but sacrificing time with Him is not rest at all.

Romans 8:28 NIV, says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
