PJS Article: This study investigated how the amihan and habagat monsoons affect seagrass composition and plastic pollution across coastal sites in Davao Oriental, the Philippines, revealing seasonal shifts in dominant seagrass species and higher plastic contamination in more disturbed areas such as Baganga. The objective of the study was to evaluate the combined effects of monsoonal dynamics and human activities on seagrass ecosystems to support targeted coastal conservation and pollution management strategies.
